Introduction
Spring is just around the corner, and that means it's time once again
to launch our annual research for the new Top
50.
As in previous years, the results will form the basis for a special
Top 50 section in IT Training magazine in May. This is
your opportunity to have your company listed among the elite of the IT
training industry
– so please help us by providing your input as soon as possible.
Each company's ranking in the Top 50 will be based on its UK IT training
revenues of FY2007. We are willing to use either your financial year
revenues (for the financial year ending in 2007) or your calendar year
figure for 2007. The choice is yours!
As a guide, the minimum revenue figure to qualify for last year's Top
50 was £2.3million.
If your revenue figure is publicly available (e.g. in published accounts
or an annual report) we will use that figure. Otherwise we will make the
best estimate we can, based on your input or the information available
to us. The report will indicate clearly which figures are 'actuals' and
which are estimates.
Your help would be very much appreciated in compiling this report. Ideally,
we should like to have the following information:
- Your UK IT Training revenues (either actual or estimated) for FY2007
or calendar 2007, if possible to the nearest £0.1 million.
If your accounts have not yet been finalised and/or published, it
would be helpful to know when they will be available.
- The corresponding figure for the previous year, or the percentage
change from 2006 to 2007. (Even if you were listed in our previous
Top 50, this will provide a useful cross-check of last year's numbers).
- The name of the person in your company who should be our primary
contact for this financial research, if not yourself.
- The name of the person who should be the contact point for your company
profile and other editorial questions.
We should like to receive this information as soon as possible, but
no later than Friday 8 March 2008.
Important Notes
-
Eligibility for the Top 50 is open to any company whose IT training
revenues are derived principally from the sale of IT training to other
employers for their own staff. We exclude universities, colleges,
companies selling mainly to private individuals, and providers delivering
mainly government-funded training programmes. We also exclude those
who provide 'second order' services such as course materials, contract
instructors, brokerage, testing etc.
-
IT Training is defined as (a) training in any IT subject (whether
intended for IT professionals or for end users), plus (b) any training
for which the learner population is made up predominantly of IT professionals.
- Only UK revenues count for Top 50 purposes. Please remember to exclude
revenues that were generated outside the UK.
