The Top 50 is based on each company’s annual revenues for the sale of training/learning services. Figures are for the company’s financial year ending in 2010, or for calendar year 2010, except for those marked # which are for 2009. Where this information is on public record we have used the actual figures reported. In other cases – such as those companies where training is only a part of the business, and its revenues are not reported separately – an estimate has been made based on available data.

 

To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time research of this type has been carried out. There is no centralised registration system or database of training providers, and no single comprehensive source that lists all the companies operating in this market. It is therefore likely that other providers may be eligible for inclusion who do not appear in the list this time.
